RE:RE:RE:Irving Oil,QuantumScape,SolarEdgeDon't know for sure but I don't think that China itself has a lot of the raw materials needed but through there investment in 3rd world countries, they pretty much control most of the world's supply. So his point about that is well taken.

As for cycling, I will be outside today. Now I'm transitioning to curling (3X) per week and onto my indoor bike trainer for shorter more intense rides as the weather gets colder.  Good for you cycling 8K a year!! This year I have been a bit lazy (for me) and will end up around 12-13K (combined outside and indoor).  Usually I am 15-18K.  I will need to get back up there as I have already booked a cycling trip in the Central Massif in France which will average about 125K a day and 2200m of climbing per day.

My beautiful and wonderful (and very fit) wife thinks I am nuts doing this at my age but I have bribed her with a vacation in Provence after the ride is completed to enjoy some hiking and wine tasting in Gigondas and Vacqueyras.
