RE:RE:RE:AGMI've been looking around for Canadian projects of similar scope and cost and have concluded that virtually any project that was forced to navigate the pandemic came out the other side not just a little bit over budget, but incredibly over budget and behind schedule.
For example, the Coast Guard vessel that was budgeted for $108 million and ended up costing $1.2 Billion.

The Trans Mountain pipeline, various sports complexes, etc. There was even a report on how crappy Canadian companies and the federl government specifically are at procuring large projects. VIrtually every project with a good-sized scope is destined to be over budget so IMO this project is just status quo for a Canadian entity.
