Most of the people I have talked to in the industry including one of my sons who until recently was an Executive in the auto industry, they have the same conclusion...

Within 10 years in NA there will be 4 major car/truck producers....TSLA; Hyundai and a couple of Chinese.  The rest will be bankrupt or fringe players.  So people talking about the demise of the US Big Three are correct but that is only half the story.

Ignore the other half of the story at your investment peril!!
