It's years away, butBased on Mike's comments at 29:20 of today's Q&A, the company will keep some staff with green hydrogen knowledge and who will also keep on top of market trends, as this is a fast growing industry.
The company doesn't rule out providing electricity too those who wish to produce green hydrogen. Either existing or new windfarms could be utilized.
These operations take a large amount of electricity. 1GW for 70,000 tonnes of hydrogen in Quebec. Also a Nova Scotia project which could prodcue up to 350,000 tonnes, would require 5GW. And this is only the beginning. BC talks about green energy hydrogen hubs being built.
Somewhere in all of the there must be a place for Northland to provide windpower.
