RE:Edmonton EV Buses a $60 million Flop!
PCGuy10 wrote: Here's a good read. Edmonton went all in and spent $60 Million on a fleet of EV Buses. How did that work out. A total failure. The company promised that there was no change in range from Summer to Winter - 340 km. How did that work out in real life? The actual ranges that bave been observed a little over 100. In addition, they require Diesel Heaters to keep the buses warm in Winter. On top of that, the fleet are lemons that keep breaking down with less than half the fleet down for repairs. The company that built them is now going through chapter 11 bankruptcy, so good luck getting spare parts.

Seriously, anyone who carried a military radio in the arctic or drove a forklift in a frozen warehouse could tell you that you'll be lucky to get 1/3 the range!

EVs have their place and Canada in the winter is not one of them.
