Why the blackout...me speculating so JMHO.
Reading the latest St Barbara quartly report
Cash balance of $236 million as at 30 September 2023
Crown drill permit applications have been approved for programmes planned at Goldboro East in Q2 FY24 and at Cochrane Hill East and Cochrane Hill West in Q3 FY24. Access track clearing will be completed during Q2 FY24.
A diamond drill programme comprising four holes for 800 metres at Goldboro East is designed to test for shallow and depth potential extensions to Signal Gold’s Goldboro deposit (~3.0 Moz Au Open Pit and Underground NI 43-101 Resource) on St Barbara’s tenement located immediately to the east.
So we now know that St Barbara is drilling the second hole of 4 holes on their Goldboro East claim block...their October report details above said they would do the drilling in Q2 2024. Their drill program will be done before the end of this year.
Why the rush St B????
Is management blacked out as St Barbara may join forces with Signal to get the Goldboro mine going? Maybe they will just buy us out as the have a proven tract record of that in NS already. Atlantic and NS Gold both got bought out by St Barbara.
St Barbara are also planning to move their 5000 tonne mill to their next project 15 Milestream...move it to Goldboro and blow it up!
My speculation...who knows
Interresting speculation GoldNHil! St Barbara is a name we're hearing a lot. Same kind of synergy we had with Maritimes when ANX (back at the time) offered to merge, but reversing the roles : we have the gold, they have the mill (and the ca$h).
Any other speculation?
