Hi Larry, I am not the ultimate expert but here is what I understand about these funds.<br /> <br /> These are split share funds and have a built in artificial leverage. The rise and fall in underlying securities in amplified by a factor of 2 for class A shares as preferred share price stays pretty much flat.<br /> <br /> I hope it explans why the price can jump very quickly. I think the day we see dividends start again all the discount will vanish in an instant and shares will start trading at a premium.
