Guilbeault's Trip to China

Guilbeault's Trip to ChinaHow times have changed...

$15,000 is the price of a roundtrip first class ticket (Ottawa - Beijing).  Economy is around $2200 based on Expedia.

Remember back in the day, on one trip to Vancouver for a conference I was sitting across the aisle from Ed Broadbent when he was leader of the NDP in economy class.  In conversation, he said he travelled in economy so he could walk around the cabin and talk to people and find out their views.

As for Guilbeault's trip?

Well it speaks for itself as just a luxurious junket at taxpayer's expense.  But of course we all need to forget about his carbon footprint for that trip when he couda used one of the videoconferencing apps instead of flying there.  Seems that these apps were OK during COVID but now?  Not so much!!
