RE:InvestorsYes.. If you still have any doubt about what's in store for POET,just read between the lines of what FJ just posted. My hunch about taking the Company Private might well come to pass very Soon. All they meed to do is to come up with an investor (or investors) to put up 10c to the dollar after POET goes into chapter 7 or Chapt 11.
My many warnings about crucial factors, such as Weak Management ,lack of capital financing and Weak BOD( which has always been heaivily weighed on techies) , has finally had its toll.Just think about it..everybody in top management is a tech whiz and the only person who posessed any Business experience on the entire team was T, Mika so all finacial decisions would have stopped at him.Surresh and the puppet board, always focused on R&D and the tech, ignoring all other critical aspects of managing the business.
I really hope that, they can still pull out of this, but at this stage,It's becoming increasingly apparent that it will be very difficult, without swinging a significant financing deal.. Speaking for myself,I would gladly welcome any buyout offer at this stage.
IMO,what better time than now, to take the Company private, with much of the work on the Tech behind us?
Would be Private investors, will eventually get rich, management will be handsomly rewarded and Shareholder will____???and so lite goes on..
We don't need go very far ,to think that POET could easily follow in Rockley's footsteps..
All IMO of course
Hint.
We might have been much better off as a private company, or at least, we would have been able to raise the capital that the company needed to achieve its ambitions sooner. Take for example, companies in the AI space , which have raised upwards of US$500M over just this past year, for products and markets that may potentially be delayed or could never exist. wintersun10 wrote: "investors appear to have continued to totally discount our pipeline of prospective orders resulting from being designed into modules to be sold in China and apparently do not believe that we will meet our stated objectives of developing and deploying 800G and 1.6T engines, which will result in direct revenue to POET."
Investors do not believe you, because you keep on snowing them with meaningless weaselwords. If your customers delay, you report it, you do not look the other way and say we are right on track, that is non sense nobody buys. That is how your credibility goes down the drain.
That is why just about every poster has been calling for Poet to come clean, publicly. Not via some Fantasy Lander with even less credibility.
People notice the delays and lack of explanation and fill in their own opinion of what has gone off the rails. Which most likely is worse than what actually happened. These are the basic facts of life my friends. Poet lacks the basic facts of life.
