Anyway, we could beat this horse to death but each to their own as they say.

 The key message is not whether oil will be dead in 20 years but between now and then are there other businesses which have greater potential to return higher returns with less risk.  I believe that there are many and if you and the others disagree then stick with SU over the long term and i wish you all the very best. All I can do is you some things to think about.  If you think my thesis is wrong that is fine in my books - it is your money you are investing not mine.
