RE:The Mexico risk factor for GGD

RE:The Mexico risk factor for GGDIMO, this is always a risk. I think the open pit moritorium is aimed more towards battery metals and environmental "concern" virtue-signalling with a sprinkle of "My predecessors have given away Mexico's national resources!!!"

I suggest it's virtue signalling because it makes for a nice headline to pander to environmentalists. Many industry experts contend modern open pit mining operations in developed nations are reletively "eco-friendly" with all the regulations and remediation requirements etc.

The Clarion-Clipperton zone between Hawaii & Mexico presents HUGE opportunities. Despite being an eco-system we've yet to fully explore, let alone began to understand, Mexico is one of the few countries on the ISA Counsil openly in favour approving mining operations. This seems at odds with a genuine having a concern for the environment.

All that aside, I don't think you and I need to worry about it too much, as the big boys have already priced that risk into the SP of all Juniors operating in Mexico, but I agree policy change poses a risk.
