World watch

World watchThere are ones campaigning to stop gt mining and exploration. Reason claimed is that, when the glaciers melt off, there will be many more streams for salmon habitat.

I believe the science does say different. Under the Ice, lies rock. The Ice is highland. When the ice is gone, snow will melt and run off fast during spring and then dry up in elevated creeks and rivers. Rains will run off fast. It would be unusual for those watersheds to support marine life. Flooding in existing valleys will be the big concern.

Surface pit mines would be a concern but fairly friendly if thought through.

Most mines in gt will b ug. Tailings go as backfill in the stopes and drifts. Small mills compared to ops. I certainly believe it is important to consider the environment. Until I see different, I will stay invested.

Have a nice day:))
