Maduro's antics CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — The U.S. government and nearly 30 conservative world leaders on Saturday condemned the decision of Venezuela’s highest court to block the presidential candidacy of opposition leader Mara Corina Machado.
The Biden administration, however, remained noncommittal about reimposing economic sanctions on Venezuela, which it has threatened to do if the government of President Nicols Maduro failed to ensure a level playing field for the country’s presidential election this year.

"Conservative" world leaders? They're all conservative? Why not just "world leaders"?
Regardless, Biden has put himself into a difficult spot. The obvious step is to reimpose all the sanctions. But he's going to have a difficult time doing that.
I hate the thought but Trump will predictably make hay out of this--unless Biden does indeed quickly reimpose all the sanctions.
In the meantime I suppose this is good for GRZ. The US authorities, surely now that much more disgusted with Maduro, are going to be that much more comfortable with letting the Citgo sale go ahead.
