Where Do We Go From Here? Not to get hung up on terminology, but I believe GSI falls into the category of microcap stocks and not smallcap companies, based on size and marketcap. No big deal, however the reason I bring this up is because I want to be clear in my head what it would take to get institutional support for this company.
What are some of the factual parameters the the big boys and fund managers look at when doing their DD on a company? I believe we ended 2023 with revenue in the 28.5 million dollar range, A very nice start Q1/2024 with a record 9.8 million, can we speculate, which I hate to do, that $40 million is achieveable for the end of 2024???
Will GSI land that elusive 2nd big transit contract? We know they have been in talks in the past with Alstom trains and a lot of other smaller stuff going on as well. If we can conclude that fair marketcap today gives us a $1.00 SP without institutional buying, how do we get there? It is a process, material news like todays, consistent base building buying that increases the SP while waiting on the next material news release, then rinse and repeat.
Retail buying can get the ball rolling, but it is almost never sustainable because we simply don't have the money and the expertise that the institutional boys possess. I was a little surprise the stock made it to $.65 cents on the high and also surprised where it closed. Like everyone else here I want the momentum to continue and not drift back because of lack of news and lack of buyers for the stock. Time will again show us.
