AMQ Boosts Operations with Second Drill Today Exciting news from Abitibi Metals Corp. (Ticker: AMQ.c or AMQFF for US investors) today as they unveil the arrival of a second drill at the B26 Polymetallic Deposit in Quebec.
This strategic move comes as part of the Company's ongoing winter drill program at the Deposit, aiming to complete a minimum of 10,000 meters by the end of March, marking the initial phase of a fully funded 30,000-meter field season in 2024.
Jonathon Deluce, the CEO of Abitibi Metals, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We are very excited to announce the arrival of a second drill at the B26 Polymetallic Deposit. This strategic decision stems from the very promising visual observations made from the first 5 holes drilled, underscoring our commitment to thoroughly assess all our Phase 1 objectives before the onset of winter breakup."
The focus of the current drill program is twofold. Initially, the aim is to evaluate the open-pit potential and near-surface extensions of the B26 Deposit over a 1.2-kilometer strike length. Subsequently, attention will shift towards advancing and expanding the existing high-grade underground resource, further unlocking the potential of this promising deposit.
To-date, the Company has completed five holes on the B26 "Main Deposit" target, totaling 1,477 meters. These efforts are part of a meticulously planned strategy, targeting three specific areas along strike:
-B26 Main Deposit: Assessing open-pit potential and potential extensions to the north over a 1.2-kilometer strike length.
-Satellite West: Targeting potential satellite zones 500 meters to the west of the main deposit.
-Eastern Extension: Focusing on expanding the main deposit to the east, building upon historical drilling that yielded significant results.
Detailed descriptions of drill hole locations and objectives highlight the meticulous approach taken by Abitibi Metals in its exploration endeavors. These efforts are underpinned by the expertise of qualified personnel, ensuring adherence to rigorous technical standards.
