Shareholders own the company. So if you transfer wealth from shareholders to the company, you are effectively transfering wealth from shareholders to shareholders. Therefore that is somewhat meaningless. The real wealth transfer that occurs is from some shareholders to other shareholders.

Depending on whether the units are bought under their true value or above their true value, the transfer goes from those who keep their shares to those who sell them, or vice versa.

In my opinion, in this case the units are bought/sold under their true value and therefore the transfer is from those who sell to those who keep.
