RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:This is NOT OFF TOPIC, IT ALL RELATES TO IVN and the FALSE "Every investment has risk and I am willing to take the risk in IVN"
That's fine. I have no problem with that, and I can go further and say that under present conditions Ivanhoe should continue to perform dependent naturally upon the price of copper. I have no beef with Ivanhoe nor do I wish misfortune upon their investors. However IMO a consideration of Climate Change is not matter of choice, but simply a slice of the new reality. Consider that tomorrow has never happen before and it will be different from all that is past.
And yes, I am aware of diesel generators and there is a reason (fuel cost) that mines worldwide whenever possible use electrically generated power for their plant.
A wise investor may accept risk, but also makes a concerted effort to recognize the nature and causes of that risk, and considers extreme weather damage BEFORE it impairs his investment. What I wish is to promote a constructive dialogue so that climate change and the effect upon mining operations will become better understood and the signs that indicate an approaching threat will be recognize BEFORE taking a loss.
