RE:RE:Cash-Flush Buyers Dip Into Distressed Commercial Real Estate

RE:RE:Cash-Flush Buyers Dip Into Distressed Commercial Real EstateCurious what these property investors plan to do with all these empty buildings?

There is some trickle back to the office, but I can't in office staff levels returning to pre-pandemic levels.

And all the tech thrown at getting WFH to work, also means much less business travel - certainly on the training end and to some extent on the conference end as well. I do not ever see myself traveling for work ever again - used to travel for training, conference and even to collaborate with colleagues in other cities in both Canada and US.

Hotels in tourist areas are probably going to be ok. But business hotels? I don't get what the plan is for all the new hotels under construction around my airport, except as natural disaster evacuation relief.

Are these investors planning to turn these office towers into residential with some light retail/commercial space on the lower floors?
