RE:West coast LNG will be a game changer Does anybody know, or dare to guess as to why LNG Canada still has not made a decision on phase 2?
Is it because there is not enough electricity for the second phase and the government has a problem? Is it because they want to make sure phase 1 works well before committing to phase 2?
Is it because work would not start until phase 1 is complete, so no need to give the ok now?
Phase 2 seems like a no brainer to me, but what do I know.

Right now, Canadian natural gas can only be consumed by Canadians or sent to the United States. As far as I know, the United States doesn't have any west coast LNG terminals except a small one in Alaska and shipping LNG through the Panama Canal is getting more difficult and expensive.
Soon, Canadian LNG will hopefully start to feed the hungry Asian market and oversupply/storage issues will disappear.
