Cuban Medical System

Cuban Medical SystemMy father in law was recently in Varadero Cuba and while he was there he became ill with a pneumonia that in retrospect he had before he left Canada.  The nurse at the resort where he was staying came to his room and examined him.  She then sent him to a local medical centre for x rays.  The medical centre then sent him to the hospital.

While the hospital he ended up at was old he described his experience at the hospital and the general level of care he received at each step of the way as excellent.

This kind of affirms what you hear about medical care in Cuba.
