Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. RE:RE:REITS still wonder how in the longer term the lack of new builds in commercial real estate will be impacted by rates, given it has caused a standstill in new construction, paricularly office but also other sectors including residentials. have to think it's supportive. so short term, rates are a tailwind but medium term, perhaps less so.. i am in the rates are coming down camp but even if i weren't, artis in particular is still a viable entity in an elvated rate environment with multiple options to improve debt structure.
