RE:Cash vs Artis I wouldn't feed into a random account that made a comment about you... you only encourage this behaviour by dedicating posts to it. Clearly cash returns over the last 2 years would make a REIT investors eyes water. It has been a very hard couple years for those invested here. Even harder for much longer than I even knew after reading your post! That said, there is no need to defend a clearly superior trade in the past. Best to turn to the future. IMHO although a solid investment the past 2 years (relative to REITs), treasuries are not a viable long-term (multi-decade) investment. Best of luck deploying the capital.
