RE:Crux Investor's notesThere sure is a lot of FUD comments flooding in, now that the price of gold has broken out, and gold stocks perking up.....
Your post is wrong RE NOrth Queensway being 200 MILES away from Maritimes Pine Cove mill. By truck, it's been stated the distance is 240 kilometers, which would translate to about 145 miles.
However, the Pine Cove mill is on the coast with a deep Water wharf as part of the facilities. Thus, one would think that ore could be trucked to St. John's port facilities, and shipped to Pine Cove.
So, why overstate the distances involved, and not mention the deep water port facility the Pine Cove Mill has attached to it?
We don't know the details of efficiency of using the Pine Cove Mill, but NFG obviously has some inkling of this. Thus, they invested a few million $ in Maritime, and negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding with Maritime allowing NFG to study the whole matter of using Maritime's Pine Cove mill to process ore from North Queensway.
It has been stated that using Maritime's Pine Cove mill could allow North Queensway ore to begin being mined very quickly, like one to one and a half years.
The Maritime option has also been prominently featured in presentations by NFG just recently.
And, Maritime appears quite excited about the prospect of toll milling for NFG. It would bring in lots of revenue for Maritime.
So, bottom line, toll milling by Maritime appears to be a quite reasonable possibility.
