North American Financial 15 Split Corp. is a Canada-based mutual fund corporation, which invests in a portfolio of over 15 financial services companies. It offers two types of shares, such as Preferred Shares and Class A Shares. Its investment objectives with respect to preferred shares are to provide holders of preferred shares with cumulative preferential monthly cash dividends in the amount of over 5.5% annually and to pay the holders of the preferred shares a certain price per preferred share on or about the termination date. Its investment objectives with respect to class A shares are to provide holders of class A shares with regular monthly cash distributions and to permit holders to participate in all growth in the net asset value of the Company for a specific price per unit, by paying holders on or about the termination date such amounts as remain in the Company after paying a specific price per preferred share. RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Estimated NAV end of March 8When i get the FULL monthend update, i use the weightings list , and try to equal the % of CAD and US holdings, to match  what is in the update. ALSO have to match up the cash %...
It is a lot of work, but many times improves the accuracy. It is still a guessing game tho , as the fund managers can get  a covered call option taken out, and that drops one holding down the list and skews the numbers . Or the holdings adjust themselves up and down, as ONE stock increases its value by a few % , while another drops that much  in the two week period before the next update.
At any rate being within a 5 cents is considered close, altho at times AnEducator  and myself have been within a penny , and sometimes have it exact. Much easier with  Brompton splits , as they update the holdings ( including the % of NAV) normally once a  month . They also update the UNIT NAV and commons NAV once a week.
