RE:RE:RE:Short-term euphoria almost gone...Hey BSD
I'm actually surprised that someone like Brookfiled hasn't taken a run at them. I'm also surprised that they can't seem to find a buyer for their renewables. Not sure if that means there is more ugliness going on under the covers that we aren't seeing.
I was checking up on where stock prices are for our non take-over sells. Many are really signifcantl down (eg: -55% NWH, -45% NPI, -25% GRT, etc). The only one that is significantly up is good old ALA. I sort of expect that AQN will evenutlaly join the ALA list. It will take time and interest rates going down, but I wouldn;t be surprised to see it back over $12 or $13. Of course, just like ALA being a long way from its high of ove>$52, AQN will be a long way from its high of > $22. I doubt we will see that in my remaining life time.
Take her easy and good luck with it all

Selling an old favourtie is always tough in some ways. I'm actually shocked when I think back to how often this has happened for us with take-overs, companies doing really dumb stuff, the business changing, realizing pure renewables are cr*p, yield getting too low, etc. Our main sells that I really liked at one point or another include (take-overs bolded): AAR.UN, ECI, ENF, VNR, ALA, PKI, IPL, NPI, BEP.UN, BIP.UN, NVU.UN, GRT.UN, DIR.UN, and NWH.UN. Amazing!!
Now that we're down to just 12 stocks, I think our selling days are behind us (unless KEY gets taken over or something like that).
Quite the history.
Ciao
