RE:RE:Undervalued

RE:RE:Undervalued I think I can reply to the question about light oil.

Light oil is easier to refine so sells for a premium to heavy oil.
All of Alberta's oil needs are refined in Alberta so use light oil.

The refineries in the US gulf coast and other US sites are designed to refine heavy oil.
Much of that oil came from Mexico but now Mexico is not selling oil outside of Mexico.
Venezuela also has much heavy oil and used to sell to the US refineries.
That is not happening because of sanctions.

Canada sends heavy oil which is mixed with condensate to improve pipeline flow to the US gulf refineries and other US refineries. The condensate is then removed and used to create other petroleum products.

This site has a lot more info on Alberta's heavy oil from oil sands.
TVE Clearwater heavy oil is not oil sands but is handled in a similar fashion to oil recovered from oil sands.
