RE:RE:17.9 years between Discovery and Gold Production in CanadaI think Denis Laviolette said NFG could be in production in two years or even A bit less. I'd have to call him and check on that to be sure. But, he may have been referring to using Maritime to process the ore.
I am guessing that Nozzpacks figure includes the vast majority of discoveries that are more marginable in nature, and takes longer time frames to gather the interest and pull the trigger to go to production.....and even more the key factor is Canada's vast wilderness.
Seabridge Gold has been mapping out their massive gold reserves for over 20 years. I heard he CEO Interviewed and he said they have reserves of 70 million oz!......but they are located DEEP in the wilderness...so No one pulled the trigger to mine yet, I think.
With NFG, they are literally SURROUNDED by existing infrastructure. The Trans Canadian Highway AND power lines cross North Queensway NQW within yards of drill sites NFG has made.
So, development of mines for NFG should be rapid. AND, Newfoundland govt STATES they want 5 NEW mines by 2030!.
My thoughts are that NFG could be in production very fast. Way before 2030...maybe even 2025-26. Maybe that would necessitate using Maritime...but, so what . Nothing wrong with that!
The sooner the better I have been thinking. It would be great to have positive cash flow paying for all or at least most of ongoing development and exploration costs. And if ALL costs weren't covered, then borrow funds rather than issue new shares....cash flow from ramped up mining production may well be massive within a few years time, and lending decisions could be based upon those projections.
