I never liked the potential political risk in EG but seemed liked a very low risk medium reward to tie back in shallow water via LNG. EG is political very low risk now VS 5+ years ago now that most of global minority stripping Africa of resources by all means incl coups, like UA Maiden, sponsored armed conflicts and even assisinations ( helicopter and business jet crashes are favorites haha) have been kicked out, or on their way out.
Africa doesn't need any western tech or other resources any longer it's all reliably available with far fewer strings from global Majority, who can maybe get the drilling contracts all else will be sourced from CN and RU like it currently is in unrestricted free markets.
Shallow water will always get FID first since can be cash flow in 12-18 mths at 30% of cost VS orange Basin that's 60-90+ months from cash flow after $BNs invested.
I'd bank on EG before Canada LOL.
