The real reason
The real reasonEvery time the price of gold starts to rise inexplicably, the pundits look into their basket full of possible reasons and pull a few out.
The past couple of days are no exception.
There is something going on however that may be creating increased geopolitical tension. Not that there already isn't some.
So far, it hasn't been mentioned in the mainstream U.S. press. When and if it is mentioned, depending on how much it is played down, there may well be a knee jerk reaction.
I believe that British intelligence, after taking some time to be certain, appears to have come up with evidence that China is facilitating the shipment of weapons and armaments to Russia that are coming from North Korea.
Quite a few foreign news services have picked up on this.
I don't think this is the type of news that certain interests in the U.S. want to see in the headlines.
There are many obvious reasons. One being the a sharply rising gold may be a harbinger of something being amiss.
Sort of like the canary in the coal mine.
