Short interest is usually very low - just a fraction of a percent of the float. If you want a boogeyman to fear, it should be insiders.
There are still more than 10 million options that are vested and in-the-money. Pair this up with management who tend to treat their-in-the money options like live grenades with the pins pulled, it should be much more concerning than "shorters".
