Your 'rationale' is backward looking: they now have better capital efficient plays so they don't need to drill out the cardium at these low gas prices.
Also CF was surpressed by high CAD light sweet differential which will likely normalise with TMX and gas prices won't stay low forever, if you can believe the strip at least.
So the basics will get better with increased gas prices across the board; but they're not at all solely depending on the Cardium anymore, on the contrary the future foreseeable growth lies in CL & MNTY. So I don't know why you keep harping on about Cardium as holding them back?
I think you see it but the question is: what's holding you back to jump in?
