S&P 500 Opens Higher After Fifth Straight Week of Gains

Will the stock market’s May rally finish the month on a strong note?

The S&P 500 was edging higher early Tuesday after the long holiday weekend, with indexes on track to finish May with their best monthly performance of the year.

Meanwhile, a big energy brawl heads to Wall Street today. Hess shareholders are voting on its $53 billion sale to Chevron, but industry heavyweight Exxon Mobil says it has a right of first refusal over that holding.

T1 also starts today, meaning stock trades will settle in one business day, rather than two, the result of regulatory changes set in motion by the 2021 meme-stock frenzy. If you’re selling stock, you’ll receive the proceeds in half the time.

STRONG NOTE? the answer is no.  Alltime highs , with the economy where it is? Best guess is we see a major pullback sometime in the future. Sooner rather than later. BUT JMHO..
