S & P 500 opens strong... Will the stock market’s May rally finish the month on a strong note?
The S&P 500 was edging higher early Tuesday after the long holiday weekend, with indexes on track to finish May with their best monthly performance of the year.
Meanwhile, a big energy brawl heads to Wall Street today. Hess shareholders are voting on its $53 billion sale to Chevron, but industry heavyweight Exxon Mobil says it has a right of first refusal over that holding.
