RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Question for Dougie.I was speaking in CAD. But all this is just speculation...so don't spend too much time thinking about a specific number. Instead think about the framework / formula of how you get to that number.
How many GEOs are in the ground multiplied by a $ per GEO. This will give you the market cap / valuation of LME. Then divide that by 271 milliion shares (the number of share and options outstanding). This will give you the potential share price at buyout.
It is reasonable to believe that as the prices of gold, silver, copper, etc increase. A potential buyer will pay a lot more per GEO.
If after looking at everything in the data room, a potential buyer believes LME has 4 million GEOS in the ground, and they are willing to pay $550 CAD / oz ($400 USD / oz). This would give LME a valuation of $2.2 billion, or $8.13 / share.
-How many GEOs are in the ground?
-After talking with potential buyers, what are people willing to pay per GEO?
I'm not in the room or on site where these discussions are happening, but I know from the LME PRs that all of these things are being worked on and moving forward. Because of that, I'm comfortable holding onto my LME shares.
