But I did indeed buy 88,700 shares of Cenovus this week. That is because I think they are still in the doghouse, and once they emerge from that doghouse, the price discount they now live with will dissipate.
When might that happen? Quite possibly at the next quarterly release, or the one following. By then, their debt target should be met or well within reach. And trust in management should continue to improve.
If investor trust of management improves, this stock should break the $C30 ceiling and settle for a while in the low 30s.
That is my bet, anyhow.
