Aero Energy Limited, formerly Angold Resources Ltd, is an exploration and development company targeting large-scale mineral systems worldwide. Its assets include projects in Chile and uranium projects in Canada. The Chile Properties include Lajitas and Dorado claims comprise the Dorado property and is located in the Maricunga region of Chile. The Nevada claim comprises the Cordillera property and is also located in the Maricunga region of Chile. The Company holds a 100% interest in the Dorado and the Cordillera Properties that include a 2% net smelter royalty. The Dorado Property hosts Maricunga-style gold porphyry and epithermal gold deposits. The uranium projects in Canada are prospective for high-grade uranium mineralization. The Company also holds a 70% interest in the Murmac Property and Strike Property, and 100% in the Sun Dog Property. The Sun Dog Property (Sun Dog) covers an area of approximately 19,604 ha in nine mining claims and is host to the historic Gunnar uranium mine.

Strong & Highly Elevated Radioactivity Intersected @ Murmac

Strong & Highly Elevated Radioactivity Intersected @ Murmac

Shortly after the commencement of its initial drilling program, Aero Energy (AERO.v AAUGF) announced the intersection of strong and highly elevated radioactivity in the second drill hole of the 2024 exploration drilling program at the Murmac Uranium Project yesterday.

Notably, these initial findings are already pointing to a robust uranium mineralization system as an average of 1,309 counts per second was intersected over 8.7m in graphitic pelite with up to 33,600 counts per second associated with visible uranium mineralization.

Highlights:

  • Radioactivity highlights include max of 33,600cps over 0.1m with a length weighted average of 1,309 cps over 8.7m
  • Drilling is ongoing and zone of strong radioactivity remains open up and down dip as well as along strike in both directions
  • Additional 11 high-priority targets approved for drilling with multiple other targets under consideration
  • Drilling still underway on the second hole with the drill core has been received and logged to a depth of 94.5m at the time of release
  • Strong radioactivity is dominantly hosted in structured graphitic pelite, immediately below the contact with hematized quartzite ~70-78m vertically below surface
  • First drill hole to test a previously unexplored electromagnetic conductor
  • Follow-up holes being planned

Confirming AERO's exploration thesis and underlining the potential of the area, this new discovery of shallow radioactivity within favorable structured graphitic rocks indicates the potential for a high-grade, basement hosted deposit.

Drill core samples are being collected systematically throughout any zones with radioactivity higher than 300cps and will be submitted for U3O8 assay and multi-element characterization.

The Murmac Uranium Project

Located in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin bewteen the historical Gunnar and Lorado Uranium Mines, the Murmac Project holds significant promise as historical exploration revealed numerous high-grade uranium occurrences that have yet to be systemically explored for basement-hosted mineralization typical of the Basin.

Further validating the exploration model, a 2022 drilling program by Fortune Bay confirmed the potential for high-grade uranium with significant findings in several drill holes.

Expected to cover ~2,600m through 10-13 drill holes at the Project, the current drill program is designed to explore for high-grade basement-hosted uranium deposits and is adaptable based on real-time findings.

Notably, two occurrences of strong to intense radioactivity have been discovered at surface while scouting the initial drill site locations, including 60,793 cps and 13,533 cps, underscoring the prospectivity of the Murmac Project.
