Sneak PeekThe official Q2 results are still almost two months away. Here is a sneak peek.
May 2024 - 5746 boe/d
The Wildmere Pad at 6-30-048-05 W4 makes for a good case study. The Wildmere field was first discovered 85 years ago. At the beginning of 2024, there were three wells on the 6-30 pad that were averaging a combined total of about 80 boe/d. These three wells were originally drilled in September and October 2014 so have been mostly flat lining for a while.
Lycos drilled two new wells on this pad earlier this year. They started producing in April and are now averaging 335 boe/d for each well. An additional two wells were drilled and brought on line during May. They are already producing a combined 300 boe/d. Once these two new wells have been up for an entire month, I would not be surprised to see each well also producing 300+ boe/d.
Being able to increase production at the Wildmere battery by a factor of more than 10 times in just a few months is impressive. The Lycos fish bone / wine rack drilling techniques are exceeding expectations.
