Regarding the alleged phone call. I significantly doubt that a communications person, would talk to a random phone caller & discuss corporate legal documents....my friend it just does not happen. Quite frankly, they do not have the legal or corporate authority to discuss any documents.
NEWS FLASH! this is what an investor relations person does: Investor relations (IR) is a strategic management role that involves communication between a company,
its investors, and the financial community. IR professionals help investors make decisions about buying or selling company stock by
managing the flow of information between these groups.
now, with all of your alleged business experience, am surprised that you could not look at the corporate website and find the following information on your own: Jon Patton
Director of Investor Relations & Communication
Email: jpatton@oncolytics.ca
email him at that address and ask him if the following is his position regarding brad being appointed poa: This is an inadvertent holdover from a previous S-8 and utterly inconsequential. Dr. Thompson holds no rights, authority or power of attorney in relation to Oncolytics Biotech nor does he have any involvement with the company. We have confirmed with US counsel that no action is required, and we consider this matter closed.
now, pick up your phone and call tim mccarthy at life sci advisors (917) 679-9282 and ask him if the naming of brad as the poa on the recent s-8 filing was a typo. fyi, 917 is a NYC area code.
WOW, WTF? that's what they will confirm to you just like they did to me.
imagine that, a random phone caller getting confirmation from an investor relations guy
don't forget to ask mccarthy if a correction to the s-8 is going to be filed while you are at it. or, you could just read a prior post or go onto the sec website about correcting errors in filings and see for yourself that correction to text errors is an option but is not mandatory.
you also said this: All of the regulatory filings are legal documents, vetted by attorneys, any typo on filing would render the whole document invalid.
would agree with you that regulatory filings are legal documents. however, they were not vetted very well and based on oncy's position, as stated by their IR guys, they whole s-8 filing is apparently not invalid.
the debate south of the border starts in about 5 minutes with commentary afterward. you could tune in to fill up on more conspiracy theories.
