RE:RE:Long termI think SGD will be sold even before a FS is done on any project, including Valley. A FS would include estimates of initial and sustining capex, IRR, NPV, AISC, and other data that will be key to getting a good idea as to how much the mining operation will cost up front to build, how long it will take to build, and how profitable the mining operation will be throughout the LOM once ounces start being poured and sold.
Instead, my guess is SGD will stick to drilling more holes, assaying, and providing updated MREs until a deal with a buyer can be consummated. My hunch is BTO (which currently owns an agreed-upon ongoing 9.9% stake in SGD) will be the buyer in an all-share deal, but not for the foreseeable future as BTO is currently busy putting it's newly-acquired Back River Gold District project (Nunavut) it obtained when it bought out Sabina in April 2023 in motion along with it's other projects and existing mining operations.
