Interesting as there were many inspections by engineers, consultants and mine managment.  If this is the "they" then one can expect a lot of reports in the near future.

I am certain that these reports will be investigated for over stacking, over-leaching and a lot of structural  reports that  would have had sign off.

I for one want to see those reports.

IMO

If there is even a whiff and it can be proven of over loading with no oversight and no sign off by engineering or responsible parties  then this will take a completly different turn.

I have not seen any projects where signed and sealed documents where not provided on any structural changes of what people here are suggesting(?) .  It would like like a rogue company operating a highly complex enterprise for years just doing as they please.  yes. Is it possile but highly unlikely..

IMO

So far I have not seen any reports or information on gross negligence (if that what is really being implied herre) , etc.

If this is proven that there is no signoff on overstacking, overleaching and so forth if it occured  then the VG mine will be a different story.  This would be to put it mildly very serious indeed.  It is not longer a design issue but becomes a legal issue on mine performance and who was involved.

IMO

If it gross negilence is proven then things will be estopped while the investigation takes place, a lengthy process, the remaining $ VG will be used to clean up along with the 100m insurance that will be used.

It  will also mean that the entire VG company will go though investigative process.

I personally have not seen a situation where a company had no oversight (at least in the Yukon) and just went and did the things that are being suggested by folks.

Just my thoughts...

Best
