RE:A clue perhaps?
RE:A clue perhaps? Is it possible mdjbrown that the January slide was due to snow becoming mixed amongst the stacked ore which created a layer(s) of ice between the additional stacked layers?
And then the slide in June due to snow mixed in ore eventualy melting and creating excessive water amongst the ore on the pad? With the steeper slope in some areas of the pad, is the winter stacking perhaps a factor (or at least a contributor) to all this?
Just a wild a$$ guess is all but seems like a logical possibility. Kinross Gold apparently has a year round leaching operation (I believe also in the Yukon or Alaska) that VG has mentioned in the past as a successful operation. Did Kinross experience any similair issues with winter stacking and what is their leach pad slope like?
