RE: NewsLet the guessing games begin. With a CTU (coiled tubing unit or continuous trouble unit, depending on your view!!!) being mobilized, the re-completion of #1 will probably be done with this. Wondering if they are going to set an inflatable bridge plug across a portion of the existing zone to limit the water production. CTU can also be used to (re) stimulate the well bore to aid in increased flow. Wireline unit can re-perforate if needed, run logs, set plugs, etc. Am trying to find info on Simmons (especially Rig 31) and will post if I find anything.
expect two weeks for recompleton of #1, may have oil flowing by mid-May IF the CTU is mobilized first. I believe previous NR's have stated #1 would be recompelted before drilling of #2 starts.
Does anyone know about surface facilities - separator, storage, line heater, etc?? When will these be on-site, as flow cannot commence until these facilities are in place. Will gas be flared initially (probably) and if so, what sort of restrictions may be placed on the amount? Will oil be trucked off site initally, and to where - come by chance - or barged off island?
Any announcement on the regulatory go-ahead for the development permit? Contracts for getting the equipment are great, but without approval, are meaningless.
Great day today with CDH, ONG, and CQV all releasing good news. This type of activity will bode well for these companies getting exposure and raising awareness.
Lawnboy, can you give a heads up on schedule, equipment, approvals, etc?
Lot's of activity to come, hope everyone has the patience to put up with a few delays.
