The Eagle West target area lies as close as 500 meters northwest of the main Eagle Gold Deposit and hosts the exposures of the granodiorite. The Raven target is located at the contact zone at the extreme southeastern portion of the Nugget Stock. The Brewery Creek Project is a past producing heap leach gold mining operation.

jbrown,

Your right except I suspect the recovery, stabilization, cleanup crew and consultants had their backs against the wall if so then you have to roll the hard six and make a decision that while not ideal and not wanted by anyone it's the one you make.   I would have done the same, contain 50% (or whatever) or loose it all (the part i'm dealing with) into the gluch.

The boots (no offence) have a job that is tough, is under gun and is only work done by a specialized few, they have to make the calls.  Time is of the essance.  Total respect.

It is probable/possible that  YTG is positioning and sitting in the wings along with First Nations
to step in as soon as the current balance sheet (cash) is zero.

If the mine is closed before that point the VG money is no longer in play  and it's under trustee recievership and now into your instantly into the mines cleanup bonding/cash.  Frankly if I was in their position I would let VG use their cash first.

To close a mine instantly if  that's the play ,simple EMR just revokes license(s).  When it comes to "the hammer" they can swing it.  Right now if YTG  and First Nations wants "the hammer" in the wings.

IMO

Best
