PRIZ Secures Permit for Ambitious Deep Drilling Program

PRIZ Secures Permit for Ambitious Deep Drilling Program

Prismo Metals Inc. (CSE: PRIZ, OTCQB: PMOMF, FSE: 7KU) recently achieved a significant milestone with the receipt of permit approval from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a deep drilling program at their Hot Breccia copper project in Southern Arizona. This approval paves the way for extensive exploration activities on a site with a promising history and substantial potential.

The permit allows for the establishment of ten drill pads designed to probe the promising stratigraphy beneath volcanic rock over a broad area, focusing on a large conductive anomaly identified by Prismo’s 2023 ZTEM survey. Prior groundwork, including mapping, prospecting, and sampling, has reinforced the selection of drilling targets, setting the stage for the upcoming exploration phase.

A crucial bond has been posted with the BLM, marking the final requirement before drilling commences. Prismo Metals will expedite preparatory work using the existing road infrastructure from the 1970s, which needs only minor repairs. Upon the BLM's confirmation and acceptance of the bond, road maintenance will begin, enabling drilling to start in Q3 2024.

Steve Robertson, President of Prismo Metals, emphasized the importance of this permit approval, stating, “This is a defining event for Prismo Metals. It marks the first time in five decades that exploration can be activated on this attractive target. Historical drillings reported several copper intercepts exceeding 1% copper and elevated zinc. This 5,000-meter program will provide critical information needed to guide us to the heart of another mineralizing system in one of the world’s most prolific copper districts.”

The approved drilling program has a budget of $3.0 million and aims to complete five drill holes totaling 5,000 meters. Each drill hole is expected to penetrate the entire Paleozoic carbonate stratigraphy, with an anticipated depth of 1,000 meters per hole.

Prismo Metals’ deep drilling program at Hot Breccia is set to significantly advance the exploration of this historically rich and geologically promising site, potentially uncovering valuable new mineral resources in the heart of Arizona’s Copper Belt.
