We know that DOD has put up a 100 million to build a heavy REE magnet plant in SC. So where do they plan on getting the heavy REEs feed stock for this plant? Ucore, Maybe?
We know that a new law in China goes into effect the first of October. That tracks REEs from ore to separation to sale and can step in at any point to stop sale. The chinese will use this as a bargining chip in trade talks. The DOD will not like this and will be working on a way to not relay on China for REEs. That leaves MP and Lynas at this time. But they do not separate Heavy REEs. As Jack put it Ucore is the only one that is even close to that separation at this time.
If nothing else the Demo plant can product 80 tons per year REEs.
I restate, "All Ucore has to do to get full funding is separate heavy REEs to 99.8% pure.
