Not really sure why we want an ancient factory, no mechanized/robotic that is very laborious and inefficient with a mega union pension and other liabilities holding us down like a boat anchor.  That is exactly what I would be saying to Spirit during negotions

Is this post referring to me? If it is. We're on the same page. Right Now, I'm just saying that we have a ton of things on our plate as a company, to get into the parts business. Your idea is good with Witchita. But remember the size of plant replacing Shorts, could be around the $500M range. Plus would those Irish employees relocate there, to make the transition seemless? What do we need such a headache for? Their expertise is what's running that place. I understand that it's a good move to protect our part supply. But there are other companies better equiped to making parts better than us. If spirit can get their contracts honered with the new buyer? We're lauphing.
