RE:RE:RE:RE:Today

RE:RE:RE:RE:TodayHi Pierre,

I think I surprised myself when I actually counted and it was 107.   30-40 of them are residual positions that can go at any time.

I have been doing this for years and if I take an interest in a security, I generally keep it.  Bruce Flatt always said his hobby is to collect BN shares.  I guess my hobby is similar but I collect various securities.  I know people who have wine collections and I know a fella who has a warehouse full of rebuilt classic cars.   I really do not see a huge difference.

I totally get most portfolios are like yours and that I am an outlier and I do not suggest anyone follow my lead.  You are right, it takes a lot of time to manage and track.

I will say I tend to buy stocks that have characteristics of a takeout.  I have had many over the years (many Brookfield related) and I have had three of them this year alone,  at nice premiums. I think your BRE is such a candidate but I just never pulled on that one.

By the way, I have owned MRG.UN since 2014 and have traded it throughout the years.  I think Rai Sahi is another Bruce Flatt and so I think MRG.UN is in good hands.

Hopefully this adds a little more context,
Carena
