RE:From the CEO site - FYI interesting commentaryHARJAY,
If they tried to buy HPQ or PYR on the open market it would drive the price of each up really high as long shareholders hold on to their shares.
Regardless if long shareholders hold onto their shares, if Mr. Pascali chooses to sell PYR, there won't be much of a choice.
Good luck to All!
HARJAY wrote: @Jagr Just wondering why Evonik does not buy out entire PYR and $HPQ. Or at least the rights and patents to the entire FSR technology. If Evonik increase their margin 4x (from 20 to 80%) its not going to cost them even one years earnings (400MN). Buying 100% of both comps would be maybe 2 years earnings (800MN)? And they would have the sole rights to the technology or technologies. My reference 4x is from @JetsFanYEG: Evonik sells $500M of Fumed Silica per year at a 20% margin, with the FSR it becomes 80% margin. They better start buying before the big SP increases.
@JetsFanYEG @Jagr they can’t, $PYR and $HPQ each own half of HPQ Polvere and PPP owns 50% of PYR and would not sell the company for such a low value. If they tried to buy HPQ or PYR on the open market it would drive the price of each up really high as long shareholders hold on to their shares. You can’t look at PYR or HPQ market cap of $150M each and think you could buy the company for that value, there is no way. @JetsFanYEG @Jagr sorry I missed part of your post, Evonik likely will try to buyout the whole of HPQ Polvere from $PYR and $HPQ once the commercial plant is proven, but it would have to be for much more than $400M
