In fact, I hold a core variety of prefs that will continue to pay during a downturn, which will invariably arrive at some point and Jaime Dimon can celebrate. No doubt there is comfort in prefs and not having to watch the market daily or hourly. As I've often stated, boring is good.

And yes the Preferred shares get sucked along in a big downturn. If that happens I'll just buy more Preferred shares while they are down. My broker will miss out on my 100 trades per quarter.
