RE:RE:New Press Release - Diversified Royalty Corp. Announces August 2024 Cash Dividend and Q2 2024 Earnings Release DateI looked back, they released earnings on a Friday back on Aug 12 of 2022, and it was the strongest adjusted earnings in the company's history so no worries about the Friday after hours release from what I can see.
The stock rocked its way higher over the next 5 months from $2.80 all the way to $3.40, even with a bought deal and an acquisition. Ah the good old days when the market wasn't wise to DIV's dead end business model.
With the addition of Barrburrito last October it should be another record revenue quarter announced tomorrow night, as every quarter for the year following an acquisition should always be a record revenue quarter. It's really a pretty meaningless record at this point.
Anyone know of any other royalty based stocks with a yield as high as DIV? I looked haphazardly and am unable to find any.
AP.un, not a royalty play nor does it have the tax advantage but is a higher yield. It also has the benefit of possibly going up 40 or 50% within a year. Or not.
AD.un slightly lower yield, less favourable tax treatment but better management and better business plan. Should be 20-25% higher than it is imo.
FRU again slightly lower yield with a bit of upside potential.
KEG.un always a good bet, slightly lower distribution mostly the same tax treatment as an eligible dividend.
Obviously TRP and the pipelines were great buys 20% lower a couple of months ago.
Anything decent pay as much as DIV? SRV.un is close but have no interest in owning that.
