RE:RE:FDR: posters' Shootout at the WrestleMania CorralExec comp is definitely a deep topic, EatMore, but I don’t think we can lay the current share price slump at the feet of FDR mgmt. for selling some RSUs. Regular shareholders sell for all kinds of reasons. Maybe a few of the retail people stretched themselves too thin, or even just (thought they) saw a better projected return elsewhere. I inserted “thought” there because I am still confident nothing beats Founders for potential short-term CAGR, at this juncture.
And leaving aside the question of this particular pay package for this particular mgmt. team, who doesn’t want the most tax-efficient deal? I am assuming RSUs have some kind of tax advantage over stock options, otherwise, options would still be the preferred choice everywhere.
Maybe some ordinary shareholders would prefer to see management paid strictly in cash to avoid dilution, but who wouldn’t want their leadership team to have a chance at serious riches if everything works out? And most good management are probably confident enough in themselves they wouldn’t take just pure cash either – they want massive upside too. That’s probably as close an alignment of interests as you can get in this game.
Oh well, sounds like the next assays should be here very soon, and FDR fans will have something substantive to chew on. We clearly need it to keep from getting on each-others’ nerves.
